As owner of Inspired Chroma Design, LLC; DBA Torusphere Amplexusmaille, Jean Bolliger offers clients her extensive array of design services while also selling her own handmade chainmaille, laser, and crochet designs for enjoyment.

Jean is a multi-disciplined creative with extensive work as a graphic designer, illustrator, paper engineer, chainmaille artisan, laser cut designer, muralist, and crochet enthusiast for well over 25 years. She holds degrees in Illustration from American Academy of Art, Chicago, and in Graphic Design from Illinois Institute of Art, Schaumburg.

Her unexpected introduction to weaving chainmaille took place in 2012, when reconnecting with her high school sweetheart - welder, fabricator, and artisan - Michael Wille. Both Mike and Jean have an affinity for 3D modeling and complex, interwoven geometric patterns.

In her chainmaille, she primarily uses stainless steel rings to capture ballbearings, colored glass spheres, faceted crystals, pen nibs and other found objects. Mike’s tig welded Unbreakable Hearts are a unique focal component in many of her pieces. Mike and Jean have collaborated on several designs with extraordinary result.

Core77 Industrial Design + Resource has twice awarded Jean for her unique 3D package designs. Her 3D package designs and sculptural planar net designs inform her distinctive chainmaille design aesthetic.
